Felicity's Ride to Conquer Cancer - Welcome to My Personal Page
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer™
Welcome to my Personal Page! The MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I’m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
2018 will be my SEVENTH ride to conquer cancer. No matter how many times I participate in the Ride, I am always blown away by what a profound and humbling experience it is, shared with an equally passionate group of amazing people. This year will be no different and I look forward to training hard and exceeding my previous fundraising efforts!
This year's ride is an extra important one for me. In February my Mum was diagnosed with metastatic liver and lung cancer, just days after we lost my Dad. It's always been important for me to raise funds for treatment research, and this research has enabled my Mum to have a type of chemotherapy which does not affect her overall health too much. As she is elderly, this is very important and allows her to maintain a good quality of life.
Over the past six years, I have raised in excess of $30,000! This is all thanks to the wonderful support I receive from family, friends and sometimes even complete strangers. People are so generous - there is no-one who's life hasn't been affected by cancer in some way.
Please make a difference by making a donation today, I ride to honour those who can't ... BECAUSE I CAN.
Thank you for your support. I cannot tell you how much it is appreciated.
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, Western Australia’s premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.
Thank you for your help.
